Around here its been a long time since I saw a facility that had tanning beds. I think there were many that closed because of the possibility of lawsuits. My father used a tanning bed every winter when the skin on his legs had some kind of constant nasty rash. That was a legitimate medical use. Make cigarettes illegal? That didn't work for alcohol and despite the billions spent has not worked for drugs. Prohibition does not work. What is working, is the costs which are inflated because of the very high taxes. One pack of cigarettes now costs almost 10 dollars which makes most people try to cut down.
It is just my very liberal opinion, but the government should stay away from trying to regulate personal behavior issues. Historically trying to control what people do, is an exercise in futility.
