Vyvanse
I personally find it difficult to appreciate any ADHD med other than Vyvanse after having tried it. Anyone else feel the same?
I'm not currently on ADHD meds, but if I were to get back on them - I don't think anything else would be acceptable.
Even Adderall XR feels "jittery" and short-acting by comparison.

Idk , for me dex@mph3tamine has felt the best out of all the adhd meds I've tried, I found vyvanse's duration just wayyy too long. Vyvanse is super nice but god I hate the fact i had to wake up 2.5h early, take my meds and then go back to sleep just to be able to be functional when i wake up. TBF this might just be me as i tend to metabolize meds fairly slowly as i still do this fun morning ritual but with attentin (local brand of dexamph). I also just am kind of dependant on my adhd meds to function
, without my meds i will spend all day in bed wondering what I'm supposed to do, then get distracted spend 30 min on my phone and once again try to remember what i had to do today.
In general XR meds aren't my thing tbf, I've tried concerta(xr mph) and I preferred ritalin.

idk i found m0d@finil pretty eh, I'm certain it did make me feel slightly more awake, but unfortunately it didn't really help w my adhd much at all, I think it's one of those drugs that really is super specific in it's use, I'm sure if someone without adhd takes it after sleeping 2hrs it'll provide a clean awake feeling, but for me it just felt like a really weak stim that couldn't scratch the itch that sublingual MPH right when i wake up does. Tho tbf i am also chronicly fatigued if not on stimulants (the brain scan i did when getting diagnosed w adhd revealed that i produce an elevated level of alpha waves, the ones that are produced in resting state.) , so I'm a fairly crappy test for the functionality of eugeroics. I asked some friends w adhd about their experience with Moda and they similar results. (these are also fairly similar for Moda analogs such as fl-modafinil and r-modafinil.

From what I’ve read Provigil is actually for Narcolepsy but has been shown to help some patients with adhd symptoms. I’ve never tried it but thought it might be helpful to put out there. It does say that it’s not a stimulant so not sure why it would require a prescription.

Yeah modafinil is a eugeroic / wakefullness agent, it's basically a light stimulant. I see how it could help people w adhd but i never found it esp useful. It's very ez to get from nootropic vendors for fairly cheap or you can get the indian stuff (i prefer raw powder/ caps from eu vendors for dosage consistency tho). Hard to get prescribed but yeah it's not a tightly controled med. In places like greece/balkans and other such places pharmacies offer it "OTC" with other drugs such as pregaba and gabapentin. The way modafinil works is still not very well known tho afaik.

btw here's a decent nootropic vendor out in poland i've heard good reviews of from friends(haven't ordered yet but planning on it)
https://aniracetam.eu/ (they sometimes have really cool obscure stuff pop up for those of u that are into that, like recently they had stocked a novel kappa anatagonist to be used as an antidepressant)

Thanks for the comparison of Vyvanse with other ADHD meds. My therapist just said it might be something for me to try.

I was prescribed vyvanse for a few years but my heart rate and blood pressure kept going up on it so I had to stop.
