Default Last month of probation and she couldn't wait . . .

My girlfriend has been on probation for a year. She has her last P.O meeting/piss test on Wednesday, November 5th. She hasn't done any drugs this entire time she has been on probation and screwed up about 3 weeks ago and ate about 4 xanny bars in about 6 days right after her last piss test. On Wednesday, her last day of probation, she will be officially done after she pees for the last time. It will be day 25 since she ate her last xanny bar. Does anyone know if she should be worried about passing the last test at day 25? And also, if she buys an OTC panel test that includes benzos, if that would be an accurate indication of the testing method used by court ordered probation urine drug tests?

Any incite would be greatly helpful asap so she has an idea of what to expect. She has frozen clean pee she is considering risking trying to use and is weighing her options but could really use some guidance/advice from anyone that would have knowledge of the above questions and advise.

    Thank you in advance.

If she has been honest with you that it has been 25 days since she has taken any benzo's and that she has only taken 4 bars in a 6 day period, 25 days ago, then she should be fine. If you are using them habitually then they can stay in your system for a few weeks, but if she has been truthful about the amounts and how long since her last dose, she has nothing to be worried about.

Xanax has a very short half life. Normally 11–13 hours

Thanks Westend. I 100% know she's being honest because I'm the dumb ass that, when asked, left them over her place for when she gets off probation and she told me she couldn't sleep a took a few to help her sleep better. I then took back until she's done with probation and counted them. The timeframe and number she say she took checked out.

Any insight on if we bought an OTC urine panel test from drugstore, if the method and results should yield same results? Or does anyone know if they use a different or more in-depth testing method that would detect a further amount of time in system?

The home tests likely would not catch anything after that amount of time. They would be less reliable than the tests used by probation.

OK so that saves me some money. I appreciate that. With 100's (possibly 1,000's) of daily urine tests to analyze, are you saying that even on that volume of tests they have to conduct daily and the cost to do so, their testing methods are more thorough than an OTC panel test? Just asking because I would think the opposite, but I totally trust what your insight. Thanks for the quick reply and guidance. She's now going to just go pee and is feeling much better about any issues.

Funny how we do stupid things that we know better about then stress out when all we had to do was just say NO for a couple more days. Present company included!

    Thanks Westend!

Benzos have a very very short half life. Most are gone within a few days to a week. I did have a good chunk of time many years ago when I was on a prescribed dose that was pretty heavy and it lasted about three weeks.

That is not true of all benzo's. Valium for one can stay in your system for weeks if you use them daily. They have a half life of up to 200 hours or roughly 28 days. That means that only half of the Diazepam is gone after 200 hours.

The reason for the longer half life for Diazepam is because as it is processed by your liver, Diazepam converts into a few different active metabolites that can be detected. The metabolites are Temazepam, Oxazepam, and Nordazepam. All can be detected for many days, especially if used on a regular basis.
