    Default Withdrawl from tramadol

Good morning, soon I will be without Tramadol. I have taken it for 15 years.I I was taking 400mg a day. Now down to 200mg. Need to reduce it further. Have about 12 pills left 😬. Have come close to running out many times but this time certainly seems certain. Researching Kratom to hopefully help. Family doesn't know I take them. Any advice welcome. Thanks a bunch. Lchristy19

I took Tramadol daily for a year. I was taking 300mg a day. I did not like them all that much but it was all I could get from my Dr. and I am done with pain pills. I am not advising this but I quit cold turkey (was kind of forced to) and it was exactly 2 weeks of feeling weak…everything hurt…and had anxiety really bad but this only lasted for 2 weeks (felt like an eternity) then I was free of Tramadol. I decided to stay off Tramadol as I did not care for them all that much at times they would make me very sleepy (especially if taken during the day).
…after a year I started taking Kratom. It was amazing for me…until it became addicting…I started taking Kratom daily and after 3 Months I had to go to taking Kratom only twice a week as I had become completely addicted.
Ironically I decided to completely quit taking Kratom literally the same week Kratom became illegal in my State (I had no idea Kratom was even illegal in my State even after I had quit), lol.
If you do decide to start taking Kratom I urge you to not take it anymore more than twice a week…believe me Kratom withdrawals mirror opiate withdrawals in every way…only for myself they lasted 12 days vs 5 days from opiates. The withdrawals were BRUTAL especially the intense cold sweats that lasted the entire 12 days.

I know this is not much help but again be safe with Kratom. I would say stay away from it but I cannot make that decision for you. Just so you know…Kratom is going to be illegal everywhere in the U.S. very soon. (Assuming you are in the U.S. sorry if I am wrong).

As @LeeAnn has mentioned…stick around the forums for a while…post more about yourself…things will become easier for you to find here… and welcome to the OP.
