    Default methylene blue

I watch some podcasts and one of the sponsors is an ad for methylene blue. I checked out what others are saying in YouTube videos. I didn’t know this stuff was popular. I just watched a video from a physician, and he gave a long scientific presentation of it, including possible side effects. I am put off most by the fact that it will turn the urine blue. The doctor in the video also mentioned serotonin syndrome being a possibility, especially for those on both medical and herbal antidepressants. I tried Lexapro, 10 mg for 2 days and it gave a horrible serotonin syndrome, so the methylene blue might do that to me even without being on any antidepressants. Most YouTube video comments said they were taking a few drops of the stuff a day and they were cured of all kinds of things. I smell a snake oil scam. I think I’d sooner reach for a w33d c@ndy than go anywhere near this dye…and I think I’m kinda done with ingesting that stuff. The history behind it was that it was used as an anti malarial…but so was quinine and methaqu3lone (even if the latter turned out to be more of a hypnotic). I’m not someone who just jumps on a bandwagon. The doctor presenting one video advised that if someone is otherwise healthy, there’s really no use.Has anyone here tried this stuff, thought of it or heard of the hype surrounding it?

This methylene blue stuff looks dangerous to me. I seem to remember somewhere about methylene blue being used as an antidote for Cyanide poisoning.

Ah yes, I read about the cyanide poisoning antidote on Wikipedia. The name of this stuff sounds scary. I figure only perhaps for imaging of possible tumors and stuff…research points to possible cancer benefits as well, and I don’t know which would be worse is that case…chemo or M.B. Word has it that Ivermectin could also help with that.
